President Johnson arrived in New York tonight to attend the dinner of the Jewish Labor Committee, at which the National Trade Union Council’s Labor Human Rights Award was given to George Meany, president of the AFL-CIO. The President’s presence at the dinner had not been expected by most of the 500 persons present. (For other details of the JLC meeting see Page Four).
