The man under arrest here and until today suspected of being Heinrich Mueller, the former chieftain of the Gestapo, is “apparently” just a pathetic old man who was born in Webb City, Mo., according to Hector Valdes, chief of Panama’s Investigation Department. He said that, while the man did resemble Heinrich Mueller, his identity has been established through fingerprints.

The man’s name is believed to be Francis Willard Keith. He is a naturalized citizen of Panama. It was reported here earlier that the man, who is about 67, has been seen frequently around the principal streets of this city, peddling second-hand clothes, wine and combs. He has been living here about 10 years.
