The 400 delegates to the 43rd annual convention of the Mizrachi Women’s Organization of America agreed unanimously yesterday that it was their “sacred obligation” to send at least one member of every family in the organization to settle in Israel. The Mizrachi Women’s Organization claims over 50,000 members in its 300 branches.

The convention was addressed by Dr. Zerach Wahrhaftig, Minister for Religious Affairs, and Mayor Teddy Kollek, of Jerusalem. The principal address was delivered by Deputy Prime Minister Yigal Allon who declared that the occupied territories would remain in Israel’s hands in the foreseeable future. He said that to give up the Golan Heights, captured from Syria, would amount to complete surrender to Syria, He also stressed Israel’s need for the American F-4 supersonic Phantom jet planes as a deterrent against future Arab attacks.
