Jewish students at the University of Minnesota were reminded today to notify their instructors and department offices in advance that they will not attend classes on Rosh Hashona, Sept. 23 and 24, which are the opening days of the fall term at the University.
The Minnesota Rabbinical Association thanked the University authorities and the campus Hillel Foundation for making arrangements to excuse Jewish students from classes on the holiday. But, they said, it was now up to the 1800 Jewish students to take advantage of the arrangements by giving the necessary notification.
