The Prime Minister of Rhine-Westphalia, Heinz Kuehn, announced today that he had forbidden any meetings of the right-wing National Democratic Party that are out of line with the “democratic character of the Federal Republic.” Meetings of the NPD, which is reputedly neo-Nazi, frequently wind up with brawls. Mr. Kuehn said nothing about proposals to outlaw the NPD.
