Rene Cassin, winner of this year’s Nobel peace prize, was honored here at the annual meeting of the Alliance Israelite Universelle of which he is president. M. Cassin, who served as chairman, spoke of the French nation’s sufferings during World War I and genocide against the Jews in the next war. The Alliance, it was reported had 21,310 students in 60 schools in France, Morocco, Tunisia, Syria, Libya, Iran and Israel.
