The Jerusalem municipality has granted Moslem authorities permission to erect three monuments to the Jordanian “unknown soldier” in East Jerusalem. The monuments, designed by an Arab architect, will be erected by the Waqf, the Moslem Religious Council. An application for a fourth monument was deferred because its site on “Ammunition Hill” is slated to become a new housing project.
