A Catholic university teacher who had publicly denounced a Palm Sunday church sermon which sought to justify the charge of deicide against the Jews received a two month prison sentence today. The previous acquittal of Fabrizio Fabrini on charges of disrupting a church service and insulting a priest was reversed on the appeal of Rome District Attorney Dr. Alberto Antonucci. Mr. Fabrini had been sentenced once before as a conscientious objector. The case stirred considerable interest here since the District Attorney originally supported his demand for reversal with a legal brief purporting to show that the Jews were punished through the ages because they violated God’s commandments. At the court hearing today, however, he limited himself to arguments relating to the charges against Mr. Fabrini.
