Some 135,000 children have passed through Youth Aliya institutions in the 35 years of Youth Aliya’s existence, according to Joseph Klarman, head of the Youth Aliya and a member of the Jewish Agency Executive. Mr. Klarman, speaking at a Hadassah seminar on education, said one out of 20 Jews in Israel was a graduate of a Youth Aliya institution or service.
