New York Senator Jacob K. Javits was honored today on his 65th birthday at a dinner given by the Synagogue Council of America, the national coordinating agency for the Conservative, Orthodox and Reform branches of Judaism. Sen. Javits received a 10-inch bronze statue of David and Goliath by sculptor Milton Hebald. Some 300 attended. Sen. Javits is a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
