Tourism Minister Kol Says Israel Had Slight Revenue Increase During First Quarter

Minister of Tourism Moshe Kol announced today that Israel enjoyed a slight increase in revenues from tourism during the first three months of 1969 compared to the same period of 1968 which was Israel’s peak tourist year. Mr. Kol said that the tourist trade netted Israel $17.1 million in the first quarter of this year compared to $16.8 million last year. Mr. Kol made the disclosure at ceremonies in which he conferred the status of official tourist promoter on 69 firms in the tourist industry. Eight of them were hotels -owned by Arabs in East Jerusalem.
