Factory Fire Will Have Severs Impact on Citrus Economy of Israel

The fire which gutted the Carnal cardboard plant near Lydda yesterday will force Israeli citrus exporters and fruit and vegetable growers to shift to more costly wooden boxes, which may have more severe impact on the economy than the estimated losses of nearly $600,000 in plant, machinery and material, officials reported today.
