A light and sound spectacle, the first of its kind in Israel, which will relate the history of Jerusalem from the days of King David to the present, will shortly be performed nightly at the Tower of David in Jerusalem’s Citadel. The spectacle was conceived by Baron Edmond de Rothschild, who sent specialists to create the spectacle there.

The spectacle will be projected about four months each year as a tourist attraction in Jerusalem. Performances will be given three times nightly in Hebrew, English and French. The company which will produce the spectacle is owned equally by Baron de Rothschild, Jean Friedman, owner of a French publicity firm, the Israeli Ministry of Tourism, and Axel Springer, the West German publisher.
