Formation of a major new shoe enterprise, the International Shoe Corporation of Israel Ltd., to promote the manufacture and export of Israeli footwear and allied products to this country and to European markets, was reported here today by ATID, American Trade and Industrial Development for Israel, which assisted in formation of the company.
The new company will assume control of the Alma shoe manufacturing company and has acquired property for construction of new facilities quadrupling production capacity of the existing plant. The new group is headed by Max Billig, New York shoe manufacturer.
