An elderly Polish woman has accidentally discovered poems, that were apparently written by residents of the Warsaw ghetto a quarter of a century ago, according to a report in the Polish Yiddish newspaper, Folkstimme, received here. The woman, Jadwiga Krul, who is not Jewish, wrote to a Warsaw newspaper inquiring whether she should turn over her find to some authority. She said the poems were written on backs of 52 ration cards issued during the German occupation. She said she found the cards in a bundle while walking on a street in an area that was once in the ghetto. No author’s name was given. The poems appear to have been written by more than one person.
