The newspaper Le Monde said today that the Soviet Union has reportedly designed a special plane-a modified MIG-21–for use by the Egyptian Air Force. The paper’s military correspondent said the new plane, first believed to be the new MIG-23, will be able to carry an unusually large load of bombs and rockets for low-level ground attacks.
