Taking a cue from a nationwide trend on college campuses, the Conference of Jewish Organizations voted expenditure of $6,000 to establish a course in Jewish studies at the University of Louisville next spring. The Conference plan envisions financing such studies for three years, after which the university would take over its full cost. Members of the Conference took the action following a committee study which resulted from a petition presented to the Conference last February by Miss Rhonda Zalman, president of the Hillel chapter at the university and signed by some 400 Jewish students on the campus. The course will include guest lecturers, local authorities, and full-time supervision by a member of the college faculty.
