Metullah in Upper Galilee came under mortar fire from Lebanese territory this morning. No casualties or damage was reported. Israeli units returned the fire. Sounds of shooting inside Lebanon yesterday indicated a clash between Palestinian guerrillas and Lebanese regulars. One person was killed and a woman was injured in Gaza this morning when an Israeli patrol opened fire on a suspicious group which tried to escape when challenged.
