The Cabinet met in special session today to hear a report by Premier Golda Meir on her recent talks with President Nixon and other American officials. The content of Mrs. Meir’s report was not released. The US is believed to have insisted, however, that further efforts be made to reach a settlement which would entail a softening of the positions of both sides.
