The Keren Hayesod United Israel Appeal raised over $100 million in 1971, a 30 percent increase over the amount raised in 1970, it was disclosed today. The results of the campaign in 69 countries was contained in the summary of a report by Keren Hayesod chairman Ezra Shapiro to be submitted to the forthcoming World Zionist Congress. The report noted that the 1971 campaign raised the moot funds since the Six-Day War. It also said that advance pledges for the 1972-73 campaign indicated a further increase in response to Israel’s growing needs for immigrant absorption.
