Five new immigration centers have been established by the Jewish Agency’s Immigration and Absorption Department because of the growing influx. They contain space for 1,500 persons. All the new centers are in existing buildings rented by the Jewish Agency Geographically, they extend from 40 miles south of Tel Aviv almost to the Lebanese border in the north.
