A Brooklyn youth, Leon Jelinsky, 23, who was an Israeli but returned to Israel as a tourist from the US, was sentenced Thursday by the Haifa District Court to 18 months imprisonment for importing 2500 LSD pills into Israel. He sold 100 pills before being arrested. Jelinsky claimed he was asked to bring the pills into Israel and that he was not aware he was doing anything illegal.
