A Jewish Agency spokesman predicted that immigration from affluent countries would increase this year despite the fact that the impact of the Six-Day War is wearing off and that stability has returned to some of the affluent countries where there were upheavals last year. A spokesman said immigration from Latin America was expected to be 20-30 percent higher than last year; the same number from North America and Western Europe; and a slight increase from France compared to last year. The spokesman said a 10 percent overall increase in immigration was expected.
