Auschwitz Exhibition Held in Japan

An exhibition recalling the concentration camps of the Nazis, especially Auschwitz, was recently held in the Matsuzakaya Department Store, The exhibition, the first of its kind in Japan, was opened to appeal for peace in the world. Among the items exhibited were pieces of the wall of Auschwitz prison contained in an urn which is scheduled to be enshrined at Hiroshima. The exhibition was jointly sponsored by the National Auschwitz Museum, International Auschwitz Committee, Hiroshima and Auschwitz Committee and Japan and Poland Cultural Society.

Foreign Minister and Mrs. Abba Eban have accepted an official invitation from the Danish government to visit Denmark next month.
