The B’nai B’rith’s Tour Department, which sponsors group tours for members of B’nai B’rith, reported today a “decided upswing” in requests for bookings to Israel in the aftermath of the Lydda Airport massacre. “Many of the callers anticipated a fall-off in some of our fully booked Israel tours and wanted in,” Paul Braverman, B’nai B’rith’s tour director, said. “But we haven’t had a single cancellation.” Acting in reaction to any anticipated threat to Israel’s tourism caused by terrorism, the B’nai B’rith Board of Governors affirmed a proposal to convene its annual meeting in Israel next year.
