Download PDF for this date

An Arab terrorist who escaped from a top security prison in Ashkelon where he was serving a life sentence last May 10, was killed today in a clash with an Israeli patrol in a Gaza Strip refugee camp. One Israeli soldier was slightly wounded in the clash.

The prisoner, Ahmad Shehadeh Mohammad Amran, was the object of a nationwide manhunt after he escaped from prison concealed in a bread truck. He was discovered today in a bunker in the Nouseirath refugee camp and opened fire when ordered to come out.
