Premier Golda Meir has appointed former Police Chief Pinhas Koppel to head the three-man inquiry committee to look into the Munich tragedy from all aspects – including mishaps and any neglect on the part of the Germans and Israelis. The other two members of the committee are Avigdor Bartel, general director of the Haifa refineries, who has previously served on various investigating committees including labor relations, and Moshe Kashti, general director of Zim shipping lines and former general director of the Defense Ministry.
