Two Latin American groups representing survivors of the Nazi holocaust have sent cables to Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme and the Swedish Red Cross protesting that funds deposited in Swedish banks by Jews later murdered by the Nazis and not withdrawn by their heirs have not been turned over to legitimate representatives of the Jewish people. The cables, sent by the Latin American Federation of Survivors of Nazism, suggested that the funds be turned over to such agencies as the Joint Distribution Committee, the Jewish Agency, the World Jewish Congress, and the survivors associations. (A spokesman for the Jewish Agency in New York said that there has been little success in repeated efforts to determine how much money was deposited and what happened to the funds.)
