The Soviet Union has recently sent two field hospital units to Syria to provide medical care for terrorists wounded in clashes with Israel, it was learned from reliable sources. The sources said the hospitals were presented to the Palestinian Red Crescent.
The news was taken here as an indication that relations between the Soviet Union and the terrorist organizations have become closer since the Moscow visit of Yassir Arafat the El Fatah chief.
Sources here said that the Russians seem to be assisting the terrorists directly and may be supplying them with military equipment as well as medical aid; Reports from Europe recently said that injured terrorists were being flown to Russia for medical treatment.
