The Jewish Defense League announced Monday that it will begin a nation-wide effort to encourage a boycott of Pepsi-Cola and of other products associated with Pepsico. In a statement, David Fisch, executive director of the Jewish Defense League, stated, “Pepsi-Cola has long been anathema to the Jewish people. While appearing on shelves in Arab countries, Pepsi bottles are nowhere to be found in the State of Israel.” To add insult to injury, he added, “Pepsico has now extended its operations into the Soviet Union, completing a deal which will see both Pepsico and the USSR reaping huge profits over the bodies of Soviet Jews.” Fisch, stating that the JDL will not tolerate this Pepsi de-Generation,” said his group is instituting a full campaign to convince all food dealers to boycott Pepsi.
