Ismail Confers with Leaders of Yugoslavia, Rumania on Mideast

Hafez Ismail, President Anwar Sadat’s advisor on national security affairs, was received by Yugoslavia’s Vice-President Mitja Ribicic in Belgrade today, diplomatic sources said. Ismail arrived in Belgrade last night for talks on the Middle East crisis, the, sources said. He was welcomed at the Belgrade Airport by Yugoslavia’s Deputy. Foreign Secretary Jaksa Petric, Assistant Foreign Secretary Milos Lalovic and other officials.

According to the sources, Ismails is scheduled to have talks with Milos Minic, the Yugoslavian Vice-Premier and Foreign Secretary. Ismail ended a five-day visit to Rumania yesterday, the Rumanian News Agency, Agerpres reported. In Bucharest, he met twice with Rumanian President Nicolae Ceausescu to discuss the Middle East problem, Agerpres said. Before his departure to Belgrade Ismail conferred with Emil Bodnaras, Deputy Chairman of the Rumanian State Council. Bodnaras is the military and security expert in Rumania’s Presidium.
