Epstein Terms Talks with Jewish Leaders ‘extremely Fruitful’

The 20-member delegation of the Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds left Paris yesterday after 10 days of talks which CJF president Raymond Epstein termed “extremely fruitful,” Following a visit to Toulouse where they were received by local Jewish families, members of the delegation said they were “extremely impressed” by the welcome they received. In Toulouse, the delegation also visited a friendship club for the elderly.

On its return to Paris, the delegation held talks with the leaders of the central consistory and with members of the Alliance Israelite Universelle and discussed the problems of youth, of the poor, and of women with the Fonds Social Juif Unifie leaders. The talks will be continued next Nov. in New Orleans at the CJF General Assembly.
