Former Soviet master spy chief Leopold Trepper, whom Polish authorities recently granted permission to leave Poland, told the JTA today he would be leaving for London at the end of the month. He said he would be going there for a leg operation. Referring to the Middle East war. Trepper said “I am deeply saddened by the news. My heart goes out to them.”
