An Israeli army spokesman denounced as an utter lie an Egyptian spokesman’s allegation that Egypt was returning wounded Israeli POWs but that Israel has not responded in kind. The spokesman said that Israel was ready for the return of the wounded any moment and was ready at any given hour to carry out a full exchange of POWs. He stressed Israel’s anxiety over the fate of the POWs.
