The Israeli government regards the Geneva peace conference as a rare opportunity for Israel to state its case to the international news media representing virtually the entire world. Accordingly, the government has approved the attendance at the conference of a group of well known Israeli academicians who will seek to explain Israel’s position to newsmen and other diplomats.

The professors, manyof them outspoken doves who differ with the government on territorial issues, are accompanying the Israeli delegation to the opening session of the conference. They will not be official members of the delegation but as guests of the Israel information and Documentation Institute there, a Zionist-affiliated organization independent of the Israeli government.
