The Israeli public–and especially children–were warned by police and security authorities today to beware of toy-like booby traps that were apparently introduced into the country by one of the Arab terrorist organizations. The lethal objects realistically resemble toy shells and cartridges. They are very small but can easily cause the loss of a hand or fingers or worse. Eight such toys have been found so far–two in Jerusalem, one in Ashkelon, another in Affuleh and some in the Haifa area. Pictures of the toys have appeared in the press and on television.
