Mayor Abraham Beame accepted the 16-volume Encyclopaedia Judaica on behalf of the Municipal Reference and Research Center of the City of New York. The presentation took place in the Mayor’s office and was made by Dr. Geoffrey Wigoder, Editor-in-Chief, and Arieh Steiner, president of Keter, Inc., the Jerusalem based publishing house.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
