The nine foreign ministers of the European Economic Community (EEC) meeting here for the last two days, have reportedly worked out a general plan of EEC proposals for the projected Euro-Arab dialogue of cooperation, it was revealed today.

The president of the EEC Council of Ministers, French Foreign Minister Jean Sauvagnargues, and the President of the EEC Commission, Francoise-Xavier Ortoli will present these proposals to an Arab delegation in Paris on July 31. The Arab delegation will consist of Arab League Secretary General Mahmoud Riad and Kuwait Foreign Minister Sheik Al-Sabar.

At that time, the two EEC officials are expected to outline possible directions of Euro-Arab cooperation in the areas of economy, industry, technology and education. It is believed that Sauvagnargues will also propose the formation of a “general commission” or central organ of cooperation. This coordinating commission would consist of representatives from the 29 concerned countries, that is, the nine EEC nations and the 20 Arab League nations.
