Dutch police have found the murderer of the 10-year-old daughter of Arthur Isaac. the head of Amsterdam’s major department store “De Bijenkorf.” Isaac’s youngest daughter, Helen, was found strangled to death Aug. 6 not far from her home. After intense police interrogation, a 52-year-old man whose name was not disclosed confessed to the crime.
He also confessed to the murder three years ago of 10-year-old Bastiaan Bloemena, the son of another wealthy family in the Isaac neighborhood. Bloemena’s mother is Jewish. Police say the two murders were the act of a sexual pervert and not related to anti-Semitic motivation. The man in police custody is a peddler of children’s magazines who regularly passed through the Isaac neighborhood selling his wares and was well known to the children.
