Mapam will convene a national convention within a year to decide whether to continue within the Labor Alignment or go on a separate list during elections. This-emerged from a discussion during the opening of Mapam’s Council meeting. Meir Talmi, Mapam’s secretary, said that while the Labor Party was not fulfilling its obligation towards Mapam in being an equal partner in the Alignment, the danger of the right-wing is so great that continued cooperation within the Alignment is essential.
