Solly Marcus, national chairman of Mapam in Britain and a member of the Zionist Federation of Britain and Ireland, died here today. He was in his mid-50s. Mr. Marcus was born in Dublin and lived in Israel for some years. His wife and daughter live there at present. He was a spokesman for Mapam in Britain and elsewhere. He was chairman of the Zionist Federation’s aliya committee, an officer of the Jewish Blind Society and for many years a member of the British Social Workers Union.
