Jews from the greater New York area will be gathering at Peter Minuit Plaza at Battery Park to celebrate the 321st anniversary of the landing of the first Jews in New Amsterdam, The event, co-sponsored by the Jewish Historical Society of New York and the American Jewish Historical Society, will begin Sunday, Oct. 5 at 11 A.M. when a ceremonial will be held at the flagpole on the corner of State and Whitehall Sts. which commemorates this landing.
