An Israeli soldier injured this afternoon when his jeep hit a mine in northern Sinai south of El Arish was the first Israeli army casually of the New Year resulting from enemy action. Security forces are investigating the incident, Sporadic terrorist activity continued on the northern border where an Israeli patrol came under fire yesterday near Zari’it. There were no casualties.
