Mexican President Luis Echeverria inaugurated here today the 30th International Congress of Human Sciences in Asia and North Africa. Many Israeli university faculty members were in attendance at the congress which is also known as the Congress of Orientalists. The Israeli scholars included Itamar Rabinowitz, Haim Shaked, Shimon Shamir, and Arie Shmulowitz.
