The Board of Deputies of British Jews has invited the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations to meet in a joint leadership session in London later this year for a discussion of major issues in which both communities are concerned.

Rabbi Alexander M. Schindler, chairman of the Presidents Conference said the invitation had been extended by the officers of the Board at a luncheon in London for him and Yehuda Hellman, executive director, while the two were en route home from a visit to Rumania two weeks ago.

The invitation was repeated by Greville Janner, M.P., senior vice-president of the Board of Deputies at a meeting of the Presidents Conference last week. Schindler said the Presidents Conference welcomed the invitation and would decide on a mutually acceptable date.
