A breakdown of the numbers of Jews affiliated with Ashkenazic congregations in Holland shows that some 60 percent of the 13,365 members live in its three largest population centers. The largest number, 8687, live in Amsterdam and its environs. The Hague is second with 1220 members and Rotterdam third with 700. There are 43 Ashkenazic congregations in Holland altogether.
