The Board of Deputies of British Jews appointed Hayim Pinner new secretary general. For the past 28 years he had been executive director of British B’nai B’rith. Pinner, 52, a long time member of the Poale Zion movement, takes up his new appointment Dec. 1. The post had been vacant for about three years, since the resignation of Abraham Marks.
