American airline pilots have expressed shack over EI AI management’s treatment of their employes who claim they have been locked out of their jobs. The U.S. Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) has requested the U.S. government to protest this action. ALPA president John J. O’Donneil, in a statement issued here, termed the airline’s actions a violation of workers’ rights, bordering on an encroachment of basic human rights.

In letters to senior U.S. and Israeli officials, including the U.S. Secretaries of State and Labor, the Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. and EI AI officials, O’Donnell urged immediate cessation of management takeover. ALPA also called on the AFL-CIO and other U.S. airline unions to provide whatever assistance is necessary to help return labor stability to the Israeli airline.
