More than 600 diplomats, Jewish leaders and dignitaries attended a reception here to celebrate Israel’s 30th anniversary given by Israel’s Ambassador Chaim Herzog, and his wife, Ora. Among the guests were Secretary General Kurt Waldheim, U.S. Ambassador Andrew Young , New York Mayor Edward Koch, ambassadors from Malawi, Burundi, Liberia and the Ivory Coast and Arab and Soviet members of the UN Secretariate.
