Paul Warszhawski, chairman of the interreligious relations department of the Latin American Jewish Congress, has been invited by Sebastian Cardinal Baggio as an observer to the third Latin American Bishops’ Conference which will be held in Puebla, Mexico Jan. 26-30. Pope John Paul II will officially open the conference. Warszhawski is the only Latin American Jew to have been officially invited. Four other representatives of non-Catholic denominations in Latin America have also been invited to attend.
